School Age Before and After School

The Bethlehem YMCA, offers before and after school program for kindergarten through 12 year old middle school students. Students may be signed up for 3 days or 5 days.

We follow the Bethlehem Central School calender, so the program will not run during school holidays, half-days, full-day snow-day cancelation or vacation weeks. We will offer a Fun Club program on days we do not run our before and after school program. Fun Club is a separate program and requires a separate registration.

    Before School Program:

Sign-in/drop-off can be as early as 7:30am. Our staff member will escort children safely to their bus when it arrives to take them to school. While children wait for the bus, we offer a variety of activities such as board games, Dance-Dance Revolution, air hockey, gym games and art projects.

    After School Program:

The after school program runs from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. The school busses will drop-off each child directly from school where the children will be greeted by a staff member who will direct them to wash their hands. Each child is provided with a snack which the YMCA provides. Activities for this program include: Board games, arts and crafts projects, dramatic play items, legos, playdough. Children are also provided with gym time or outdoor play time for at least a half hour. at this time children of all ages play together and are encouraged to play safely and treat each other with respect. Group time is one of many activities where we engage a child's mind by telling value stories where we teach each child about the four core values, group share time and science discoveries.
