Youth swim lessons are for ages 6-18 years old. Children in this age group
are broken down by ability into polliwogs, guppies, minnows, fish, flying fish,
shark, and porpoise levels. These progressive lessons focus on the five
components of YMCA swim lessons: personal safety, personal growth, stroke
development, water sports and games, and rescue. Activities will vary within
each component based on what is developmentally appropriate at each level.
